Well, what all this comes down to is the expectation of CONFORMITY.

The traveling lifestyle has been made illegal in Britain. Why? Because it isn’t how THEY want you to live. If they can’t pin you down in one place it’s much harder to brainwash and exploit you. It calls into question their great sacred cow….property ownership.

Of course these are Tinkers, not New Age Travelers, that’s why they fought back instead of doing the Mahatma Gandhi…good on them!  And why should they live in a council estate…a grave for the people? Who does OWN the land? Seems to me it is the original sin that makes all other infringements pale into insignificance. Those few people who own everything make slaves of us all.
